FLOC5 + RIGHTFULLY SEWN
5 Years ago I was hired to photographed the Nelly Don house near the UMKC campus here in Kansas City, MO. I was handed a copy of 'A stitch in Time' and my intrigue with the Kansas City Garment started. It was only a year later I met Jennifer Lapka, founder and entrepreneur of Rightfully Sewn. After speaking about her mission and vision for what she wanted to do I was in, without question!
For the past 3 years I have had the honor of being Rightfully Sewn's official photographer! I've been able to watch the organizations growth and contribute with my camera in hand. My biggest takeaway is working along side women who are making a difference in the community and giving value. It warms my heart to be a part of this non-profit thats bringing back the garment district to Kansas City!
Now enter the next phase of this Rightfully Sewn -
The sales of this garment will go directly to project funding to continue the Rightfully Sewn Mission.
Tonight I headed over to FLOC5 Grand Opening for Rightfully Sewn Pre-Party Trunk Show to document its debut:
