PHARE, MEANING LIGHT/BEACON IN FRENCH IS PAYING HOMAGE TO THE ROOTS OF THE LUZIER BUILDING WE ARE HOUSED IN. PHARE IS LOCATED ON THE SECOND LEVEL AT THE SOUTH END OF THE HISTORIC LUZIER COSMETICS BUILDING, WHICH IS WHY WE REFER TO IT AS THE 'LUZIER BUILDING'. IT HAS WINDOWS (BEACONS) THAT SHINE FROM EACH DIRECTION.

THIS SPACE IS EXTRA SPECIAL BECAUSE IT WAS MR. LUZIERS' PRIVATE APT. ABOVE WHICH HE WORKED. IT IS A 'CHERRY ON TOP' OR 'THE LIGHT' OF THE BUILDING AND THE ENERGY IT HOLDS FOR OUR OWN CREATIVE MANIFESTATION.  

THE FIRST TIME I VISITED THIS SPACE WAS IN FEBRUARY OF 2019. IT WAS VIBRATING AT ME, IT HAS ITS OWN ENERGY. THIS IS WHY I DECIDED IT NEEDS TO BE MORE THAN JUST A PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO. THIS SPACE NEEDS TO SHINE ON EVERYONE.

TO HELP EVERYONE RISE UP TOGETHER BECAUSE WE TRULY ARE STRONGER TOGETHER. 

THAT IS WHERE I CAME UP WITH 'THATS PHARE' - TO CREATE A SPACE FOR ONE TO MANIFEST THEIR OWN LIGHT. THE TRUEST BEAUTY AND FEARLESSNESS FROM WITHIN.

- THE DETAILS -


TOURS: 

Tours are scheduled by appointment only Monday-Thursday. To book please send an email to: hello@thatsphare.com 

Drop-in tours are not available as this is a working space for the tenants that occupy this space. Please be respectful and email to schedule your tour. 


CAPACITY: 

Phare can hold approximately 150 people standing.

However depending on your event type we would suggest under 120. Recommended 50-75 seated and 50 max for workshops that involve yoga matt space.


SIZE: 

Phare is just under 3000 sq ft with 20' ceilings and double doors upon entry. There is a full kitchen available for catering and Billies Grocery located down stairs that would be happy to collaborate as well with your event/workshop. The space offers a private room that has been used for green room or storage. 

Bathrooms are located down the hall and are communal to the 2nd floor space offering 4 stalls and 1 HCA. 


RATES: 

  • Saturdays - $2400 full day or $1300 half day (4 hrs)
  • Sunday - $2200 full day or $1200 half day (4 hrs)
  • Monday to Friday - 5-10pm only - $800 

*Bookings are specifically open to workshops and events under 100 people. Phare has the right to specific discretion of event/workshop  purpose due to noise level and parking that can overall effect the other businesses that operate within the building.

DISCOUNTS: 

Discounts are only available to non-profits and small businesses. Please inquire at time of booking for more information. 


ACCESS: 

The space is accessible to you noon to midnight (unless you are booking a morning brunch or something like that) on the day of your event depending on what is booked! This flexible 12-hour period includes your set-up, event and clean-up times and allows you to schedule the details of your day however works best for you. Entertainment/event must end and clean-up must begin by 11PM. Additional hours are available to rent. An elevator is available for vendors. Our building is handicap accessible.


FOOD/DRINK:

Phare offers an open catering policy for private events. You may bring in your own caterer and/or food however your food must be provided by a licensed caterer. Your caterer must provide a liquor license and be in charge of the bar. 

If you would like suggested we would be happy to provide you with a list of recommendation from our local partners. 


KITCHEN:

Phare has a fully-equipped kitchen connected to the event space to accommodate your needs, including an industrial refrigerator, oven range and dishwasher. 


PARKING:

The Luzier Building contains lots on both the north and south side of building as well as extra parking at Costco next door. 

We will also provide you with a map that gives your guests directions and parking information as well as how to access the building. 


ELECTRICAL: 

There are plenty of outlets evenly placed throughout the space to accommodate your electrical needs.


INSURANCE:

All renters must provide proof of General Liability Insurance for the event rental date. A certificate of

insurance must be completed and submitted prior to the event. (A licensed caterer should be able to

provide a General Liability Insurance Certificate at little or no charge to you.) 


DEPOSIT / BALANCE:

The rental deposit is due at the time of booking. The deposit is 50% of the rental rate. The remaining

balance will be due one week before the event date.


CANCELLATIONS:

Half of the rental deposit is refundable up to 90 days before the event date. If the event is cancelled within 90 days of your event, there is no deposit refund.


SO WHAT WILL YOU PAY FOR?

To recap, you’ll pay for the Phare space and any add ons you wish. That’s it. Taxes are rolled in and there are no service, staff or ceremony fees - easy peasy!
